Obstacle Obsessed

was very proud to host the Lettie Adventure Challenge at Umdoni Park Reserve in Pennington, KwaZulu Natal on the 27 September.  This obstacle challenge/trail run was held in order to raise funds for the Lettie Cancer fund in honour of our awesome local Nikki “Lettie” Heynes who recently lost her courageous battle against cancer.

This was an obstacle race featuring a wide variety of terrain including forest trails, single track, crossing the gorge, water crossings and a lovely trudge across the beach!  We also threw in some fun obstacles to challenge our runners before they think things are a little too easy.  At the end of the race was an exciting giant slide sponsored fully by Rainbow Inflatables – a huge thanks goes out to Jack Searle at Rainbow Inflatables, the slide was definitely a hit with adults and children alike!  Magma really came through by sponsoring us a full med-evac in case of injury, which luckily we didn’t need to use.  Lastly, we would like to send out a collosal thanks to Rynardt Crous and Umdoni Park Reserve for allowing us the use of their exquisite trails to run on.  We look forward to hosting future events in the reserve.

We are very proud to have raised a whopping R16150 to put toward this awesome cause.  We look forward to hosting future events for charity and were very please to see all the smiles on the day.  Stay tuned to Obstacle Obsessed online racing mag for future events in your area!
